I tried to make the drawing a little more accurate. In 3D model of the Temple, I also found small errors and shortcomings, and soon I will try to update all versions of 3D model of Ezekiel's Temple. It may take some time, because I have a very slow internet.

All dimensions are given in cubits. 1 cubit = 480 mm. * –  the size is not specified in the prophecy of Ezekiel.

About the room with the doorway in Ezekiel's Temple

A chamber with its doorway was by the side pillars at the gates; there they rinse the burnt offering. (Ezekiel 40:38)

Sacrifice of the burnt offering is the only type of sacrifice that the priests do not eat. Therefore, the meat of this type of sacrifice is not carried outside the building of the gate. Meat of other kinds of sacrifice is soaked in the kitchens: the sacred sacrifices and parts of the peaceful offerings belonging to the priests must be soaked in the kitchen in the last building in the northwest of the inner court, and parts of peaceful sacrifices belonging to ordinary Israelis are soaked in the kitchen yards in the outer court, which are located in the corners of the outer wall of the temple complex.

Therefore, the doorway, about which the prophet Ezekiel speaks, is not required precisely for the sacrifice of the burnt offering. Why then do we need this doorway?

This doorway in one of the six rooms adjacent to the gate is needed to transfer the priestly share from the peace sacrifices to the kitchen in the inner court. Peaceful sacrifices do not have such a sacred status as other types of sacrifices, so their transfer to the kitchen takes place on the road that is on the outside of the buildings for the priests.



Proceeding from this, we conclude that there is a similar doorway at the gate on the south side of the courtyard, although there are no sacrifices of the burnt offering in the gatehouse on the south side.
