Any changes in the current project of the Third Temple cause fierce controversy among our architects. By publishing the next version of the Third Temple in accordance with the prophecy of Ezekiel, I want to hope that this option will be final.

Today I am making changes to the Third Temple project. These changes are the most significant for the last 4 months.

Drawing of the Third Temple according to Ezekiel

Modified model you can download. But in this model, not everything has been fixed.

The size of the inner part of the temple complex is now a 520 cubits. In the outer court now there are no galleries. A new line of the gallery appeared on the courtyard opposite the Temple. The area of the inner court has increased.

Perhaps, now we need to change the interior of buildings for kohanim, because the main entrance to them should be from the side of the Temple. It is not yet clear if this will be consistent with Ezekiel's prophecy.

The 3d model of the Third Temple was created in strict accordance with the description in the Bible, in the book of the prophet Ezekiel. This Temple is the Temple of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and must be built, according to prophecy, in the Judean Desert, between Ein Gedi and Hebron, about 30 km south of Jerusalem, on the southern slope of the mountain of 543 meters high, near the ruins of the altar of Abraham, сoordinates 31°28'58 "N 35°14'37" E.

This particular architectural solution of the Third Temple has its own name: "Galgal". This file contains only external elements of the future Temple complex, without the interiors of buildings, and some of the external elements are missing: fences, doors, gates.

The question may be from the Christians: why do Christians need the Third Temple?

First, there is not enough room for the Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faced toward the east and measured it all around.
He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds by the measuring reed.
He measured on the north side five hundred reeds by the measuring reed.
On the south side he measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
He turned to the west side and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
He measured it on the four sides; it had a wall all around, the length five hundred and the width five hundred, to divide between the holy and the profane.

(Ez. 42:15-20)

Perhaps some will say that there is a mistake in the Bible, and in fact these dimensions in Ezekiel's prophecy must be read not in the reeds, but in the cubits. But here in the Bible there is no mistake. Before this, it is written that Ezekiel went out through the gate, so the measurements of the wall around the temple complex, made outside, were to show the result is not 500, but 512 cubits, due to the addition of the wall thickness which is equal to 6 cubits.

This means that in this case, Ezekiel saw the measurement not of the wall around the temple complex, which was measured at the very beginning of the 40th chapter.
He saw the measurement of some other wall, enclosing a huge space with an area of 1440 by 1440 meters around the whole mountain.

"This is the law of the house: its entire area on the top of the mountain all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

(Ez. 43:12)

If today we try to begin the construction of the temple described in the prophecy of Ezekiel on the territory of Jerusalem, on the Temple Mount, we will first have to liberate a vast territory from all extraneous buildings.
And in addition to buildings, this territory will have to be freed from any graves, because the dead body is the main source of ritual uncleanness according to the law of Moses.

And around the Temple Mount in Jerusalem are cemeteries, a huge number of graves!
Someone can allow the demolition of the Dome of the Rock and a number of historical monuments, as well as huge cemeteries, in which there are quite recent graves?

Actually, this reason alone is enough to abandon the intention to build Ezekiel's Temple in Jerusalem. Read more... )

The location of the Third Temple.

After we, with the help of geometric constructions based on the prophecy of Ezekiel, were able to accurately determine the location of the future altar of the Third Temple, and after we found on this very place something reminiscent of the ruins of the ancient altar, it is time to look into the details of the sacrifice of Abraham in
the land of Moriah.

Ruins of the ancient altar

First, we determined the distance from Be'er Sheva to Jerusalem, because according to Judaic traditions, it was at Mount Moriah in Jerusalem that the sacrifice of Abraham, described in Genesis 22, was performed.
And although the distance in a straight line from Be'er Sheva to Jerusalem is only 72 kilometers (45 mi), the actual route along the highway from Be'er Sheva to Jerusalem today is 100-112 kilometers (62-70 mi).

The average daily path of a person is 40 kilometers.
The donkey also moves with the speed of a pedestrian, and it is unlikely that you can make it go more than 40 kilometers in one day.

According to the book of Genesis, Abraham set out early in the morning, and came to the place of sacrifice on the third day.
In the remaining time he and his son were to build an altar, and then it was necessary to make a sacrifice before sunset.
Therefore, we can assume that the entire journey of Abraham took just over two days.  Go more than 100 kilometers to Jerusalem, he just would not have had time.

The distance from Be'er Sheva to the place we found in the Judean Desert is only 50 km (31 mi) in a straight line. If we take the same coefficient that we have by calculating the ratio of the distance along the line to the length of the actual path between Be'er Sheva and Jerusalem, then the real path from Be'er Sheva to the place we found in the Judean Desert is about 73 km (45 mi).

Given that in the time of Abraham the road could squirm more than the modern freeway, the real path of Abraham could be even greater, so the place we found is much more suitable as a possible place for Abraham's sacrifice than what the Jewish tradition tries to impose on us.

The second factor that could make the sacrifice of Abraham impossible at the site of the future threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite is that there was a nearby city where people lived.
It is strange to imagine that Abraham would have decided to sacrifice his son in public, before the eyes of the townspeople, who would certainly have gathered to look at this spectacle.

But the most important argument against the version of Jerusalem as a place of Abraham's sacrifice, is that the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite in the Bible called the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, and not called the land of Moriah, and not called Jehovah-Jireh.

I want you to notice that in Genesis this place is called "the land of Moriah", and in 2 Chronicles the place where Solomon built the Temple is called "Mount Moriah".

So, in previous publications, the drawings of the temple complex of the future Ezekiel's Temple were published and the coordinates of the altar of the future Third Temple were determined in accordance with the same prophecy of Ezekiel.  As it turned out, the Third Temple should be built in the Judean Desert, 30 km south of Jerusalem.
